DANCE - ART THAT MOVES

For a long time the West has looked towards the East with fascination at the immeasurably rich culture of the Indian sub-continent. Elements of this culture have been adopted over and over again, from its food, clothing, jewelery and decorations to yoga and meditation. Currently there is a growing interest in what entertains millions of Indians around the world, namely cinema and music.

Films such as Lagaan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Devdas are screened across Australian, American and European cinemas. The Bhangra music with its lively rhythms makes it hard to sit still - we want to shake our shoulders or hips like Madhuri Dixit or Shah Rukh Khan. So, if we eat, relax and dress like an Indian, why not dance like one? Dance is art that moves. Dancing is the most common entertaining, relaxing and creative activity that fascinates all ages.

Who are we
Bollywood Australia is the leading private provider for Bollywood and Classical Indian dance training in Queensland. As a fee for service school, receiving no funding from government, Bollywood Australia has survived and grown solely on the basis of student fees. The fact that our tuition fees represent a lower dollar per training hour rate than our competitors, underpins the philosophy of the school to provide quality training, accessible to all. Research from our students indicate that their reasons for choosing the school were the reputation for quality training, direct referral from industry, individual development, numbers and the non-institutional environment. The school stands by it's commitment to quality over quantity through maintaining the best training and support available.

Bollywood Australia dancers are a dynamic, cultural, dance company that come from the ranks and files of Bollywood Australia training. Bollywood Australia provides a high energy, zappy, stage spectacular with glitter, glamour and dazzling costumes. The team brings Bollywood live on stage. Exciting, fun-filled, contemporary Indian dance styles, colourful costumes, powerful music with fantastic beats from the latest Bollywood movies, energetic dancers present an experience not to be missed.

To whom it may concern,
Shanti Yoga provided Bollywood dancers for two shows at A La Carte in the park at Anzac Park Southport in June and A La Carte on the Beach at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta in August. Both events are free community events attracting large crowds of both locals and visitors.

Without exception the four performances by the Bollywood Australia dancers were met with a fantastic response from those in attendance, across a broad age range and demographic. The dances were certainly a highlight of both events, very well received, and attracting enthusiasts and appreciative audiences.

All from Shanti Yoga were a pleasure to deal with, friendly, punctual, reliable and cooperative.

I am very happy to recommend them to you.
